1. Registration
Firstly, register on the P2Market system. Fill in the form indicating your correct email address. After online registration, you will receive an email with an activation link. Click on the activation link to complete registration.

2. Your account
To begin sharing files you do not need any money in your account. You also can download free files without having any money in your account. To start downloading all other files with P2Market-enabled software you will need money in your account. Please log in on the P2Market website as a user using your email address and password, than proceed to section "Users/add money". This is where you may select the method of payment (credit card etc.). When there is money in your account you may download files which are not free.

3. Example: Limewire
Limewire is a client program for Gnutella P2P-network. This program is an open source free software, available under GNU GPL (GNU General Public License). It is a multi-platform because it is written in JAVA. You can use this program not only with Windows. To download the P2Market-enabled version of Limewire please go to section Downloads.
Here you will find explanations on how to use P2Market for legal file-exchange.

4. Start work: Finding files.
Firstly, log onto the P2Market network. When you start Limewire you will be asked to enter your email address and a password. When you are logged on you will see how much money you have in your account on the left hand side (green circle in the picture) : "Money : 97.0[0.0]€" The second number in square brackets displays the amount blocked for current downloads. You can search for files as normal in P2P networks. What is new here is the "price" field in table and the "search results". In this field you will see both the average market price and the minimum price in brackets (red circle in the picture). You can not download a file for less than the minimum price. This price is defined by the copyright holder. This varies for each file. The minimum price may also be 0 (zero).

5. Downloading files.
Before beginning to download a file, decide what the maximum price is that you are prepared to pay for it. This price can not be less than the minimum price. Normally you can set the price as the average price for this file. If you define a price equal to the minimum price you will probably not have many sources. The higher the price you set, the more sources you will have. The same applies for a normal market. If you really need something and are prepared to spend above the average price, you will be able to buy very quickly. In general, P2Market is very similar to offline commerce. Once you test P2Market you will recognize this similarity immediately. Everything is simple: you buy, you sell and you pay fees.

6. Sharing files
By sharing files you are acting as a shop. You have some goods (files) and you can define the price for each file. The price should not be below the minimum price. Once you have downloaded a file, you can immediately share it by setting a selling price. You are spending money to download, but you can easily get your money back by then sharing files. This makes P2Market very fair. You are not just a customer you are also an equal participant on the market. With P2Market you do not only spend, but also earn money.

7. Setting the selling price
You set the selling price as you consider appropriate. Once the price has been set, you will see it appear in the column "price" in table 2 (in green). Your selling price and how much you will earn from each sale will be visible. The sum is added up automatically.

If you want to know exactly how it works, here are some simple rules of this market.
P2Market rules :
1. The copyright owner defines 2 trade parameters for each file: a minimum price (copy-price, COPR) and a copy-tax (COTX). "Minimum price" goes to copyright owner. "Copy-tax" is applied only if you sell higher than the COPR price. If your price is YUOR_PRICE=COPR+ADDITIONAL_PRICE, than "Copy-tax" sum is COTX% percent of ADDITIONAL_PRICE. "Copy-tax" goes to copyright owner too.
2. From each sale 10% is paid to P2Market.
Trading costs : 5 % are subtracted from the received income. It is the price of use of a credit card by P2Market users. Thus charges for credit cards pass to the one who receives money.

8. Ready to sell
If you have many copyrighted files from old P2P programs - you are distributing files illegally and could be sued by anti-piracy companies at any moment. On P2Market if you have plenty of files you will be a good seller. In addition, you can directly earn money from your hobby. It is legal because in P2Market, networks files can only be exchanged if the copyright holder permits it. On P2Market you are doing a good work for copyright owners by distributing their files, because they get their share of the profit from each transaction. Although it seems strange, on the P2Market you turn from an enemy to a friend of copyright holders. And cooperation rather than conflict is always preferable! On the picture you will see that the selling price has been set and you can check how much you will earn from each sale.

9. Other P2P-P2Market client software
P2Market is working hard to provide as many as possible P2P networks with the access to P2Market services. You can use the same account (login and password) to download and share files in any P2Market-enabled P2P networks. To avoid confusion, all the programs function the same as Limewire. You can download P2Market enabled software here. Should you have any further questions, please visit section "Documents" on this website.
